Hello! I'm Jen
While working in the NYC theater industry as a performer, I "double majored" in cosmetology (NY Hair Design Institute) and have been a licensed beautician since 2010. I have worked everywhere from NYC high-end salons to kids salons, barber shops and theaters. Ah, the life of a traveling military wife...you gotta keep reinventing yourself at every new duty station.
Growing up, I was most influenced by old Hollywood musicals and films and still love creating vintage styles. In my teen-theater years would set up a hair parlor backstage and do all the girl's hair for whatever musical we were performing in. And in my adulthood I decided to make it my second career, next to performing.
I have won awards as a wedding stylist and received NY Time Out's "Best of" award for mobile salon services.
